We try so hard to do all the right things to ensure that our children don’t become “messed up” when they become adults or are no longer in the training season. We are concerned that if we do not do all the right things, they will have “issues”. If we don’t do the right things they will think that we don’t love them. This is the world’s standards; you have to parent your children according to the Word of God and the will of God for your child’s life. These are all examples of the deceptive lies that the adversary tells us; especially when our heart is not right. When we walk after the Spirit of God, which is the Holy Spirit, He will teach us how to hang in there. I will go into more detail as to how to identify the call on your child’s life in a later chapter in this book to help you understand how to train them up and not walk in agreement with the spirit of fear.
